Repair

We Repair All Roof Types

Asphalt Roof

Asphalt shingles are one of the most common roofing materials due to their durability and low cost. They have colored granules or sand-like pebbles that give them UV Protection and their unique color appearance.

Asphalt shingles can get broken or cracked and if not installed correctly can leak. As the roof gets old the shingles become brittle potentially requiring a full re-roof. But if the roof is not too old, the shingles with cracks and damage can be individually replaced.

We can recognize whether your roof is eligible for repair and replace old and damaged shingles, ensuring they’re correctly installed so they won’t cause you further damage or leaks!

Tar & Gravel Roof

Tar & Gravel roofs are built with delicate paper layers that are laid down with asphalt. As the roof gets older and the paper gets wet and dries over the years, it shrinks and the paper tears away forming cracks in the roof. Because of dips or improper drainage, ponding water can sit on the roof and cause damage over time.

One of the downsides of this roof-type is that it can be very difficult for the average homeowner to find out where leaks have started because the water tends to travel through these layers and may even leak many feet from the starting point.

The good news is we are highly experienced in detecting leaks in Tar and Gravel Roofs. We can repair all the damaged or leaking areas of the roof thus enabling us to extend it’s life and keep it going for many more years!

Metal Roof

There are many different styles and varieties of Metal Roofs. In general they are very durable and can stay maintenance free for a long time.

However these qualities don’t always hold true in all Metal Roofs and they can leak and develop problems over time. We have years of experience with leak detection and know exactly what to look for. Metal roofs can only leak in 3 places: the panel seams, the protrusions and the screws.

Fortunately, these locations can all be fixed or sealed relatively easily. We seal and repair the leaky areas and extend the life of your roof so you don’t have to worry about any more leaks!

EPDM/Rubber

EPDM Rubber is a single layer roofing material glued together with an adhesive that is used on Residential and Commercial Roofs. It can withstand water ponding on top of it for 365 days a year without failure and has won an award as being one of the most durable roofing materials made.

The downside to these roofs is that some versions of it can shrink over time and if the seams aren’t glued correctly they may release and cause bad leaks.

The good news is these roofs are easy to repair! We can fix leaks by preparing and resealing loose seams to enable the roof to last for a long time!

TPO

TPO is a single layer roofing material with the texture of a flexible plastic that is reinforced with a fabric core. It is welded together with a hot air heat gun and the seams, if welded correctly usually last a long time. Because of its white color it reflects UV rays prolonging its lifespan even further.

However, TPO can be cracked or punctured more easily than other roof types and in 10-15 years it can wear down to the fabric threads, exposing them to the UV Rays and causing further damage to the roof.

We have the know-how and the technology to repair these roofs and if they’re well installed, their life can be extended even further by repairing and maintaining them!

Torch On Roof

Torch on Roofs are a rolled-out roofing material that is welded together to form a smooth, two-layer roof membrane. It is often called “Torch-on” as a hot torch is used to weld the two membranes together. When applied by a skilled roofer it is a very good system and can last for a long time.

But as the roof ages, the top surface (the UV granules on the roof) can begin to fall off and expose the black membrane underneath. This membrane can then be damaged by the sun over time. This makes the roof vulnerable to the elements and is one of the main reasons why owners can experience leaks.

We seal the roof and perform torch on repairs as needed to handle the leaking areas and once again protect the roof from the elements!

Tile Roof

Concrete tile roofs are very durable and are made of high-quality materials. Many of the tile roofs I’ve seen are still going strong after 30 – 35 years.

However; moss, algae and lichen tend to grow and work away at the concrete materials, especially the binders that hold the sand together. These organic growths accumulate more heavily at certain points of the roof and block the proper flow of water, causing leaks through damming. Combined with the sun, wind, ice and rain, these tiles can wear down to a fragile state and begin to crack and fail.

The good news is we have loads of experience with these Tile Roofs and we make it very simple to repair! We replace or seal the damaged tiles and remove organic growths as needed to restore the proper flow of water and prevent pooling and leaks from occurring in the future on your roof!

Cedar Shingles

Cedar Shingles give great character to a home and can last a surprisingly long time (up to 25 -35 years) due to the natural oils they have in them that keeps them going.

However, if a lower quality Cedar Shingle is installed, the roof may only have a lifespan of 10-15 years. The shingles can be worn down by moss and develop cracks and splits. Lower quality shingles will unfortunately curl and crack even sooner. When a shingle is cracked or displaced, it allows moisture to enter underneath which causes damage to the roof and creates leaks.

By replacing these cracked and curling shingles we can protect your roof and prevent any leaks from occurring in the areas!
